Game "Slot" Openings

We offer game “slots” on an ongoing, indefinite basis. A “slot” is an opening for one game reserved for you in one of our hundreds of topics (“Learning Objectives”). You are able to choose your preferred slot depending on current availability. We usually only allow for one slot per studio at a time, especially for studios who are new to Legends. However, if you display reliability in submitting your game on time, with good quality, we will certainly consider granting you multiple slots at once moving forward, if that interests you.

Periodically, we will also feature “sprints” where there are hundreds of new slot openings for a new subject area or grade band. For example, when we eventually expand to History or Literature games, we would invite developers to submit games to build out that fresh content library. These sprints start with their own payment program, where we set aside a large pool of dollars that games only in that sprint will share for about two years. These sprints do not currently have any regularity to them, as they are a function of business needs that arise.

Available Subject Areas

Science OR Math Learning Objectives (LOs). A LO is defined as the primary learning goal for one topic. Audience age ranges are as follows:

• Kindergarten-2nd grade (grades K-2 / ages 5-8)

• Elementary (grades 3-5 / ages 8-11)

• Middle school (grades 6-8 / ages 11-14)

• These LOs reference the USA’s national standards of learning. Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for science and the Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSS) for math.

Available LOs

LOs have 5 available game slots. Slots are filled with games that are already published or in development. Slots open up when we retire lower performing games. Performance is evaluated on both content (ratings) and technical performance.
